•In lane, play around the Q shard through minions; longer-range mids will stand off the wave to deny the splinter, so forcing direct poke usually loses the trade and your cleaner punish windows come when someone finally walks into the wave line or dashes into W range
•Put self-R on a dedicated bind and decide that cast early, because a lot of Lissandra’s strongest engages are won by making yourself untargetable inside the dive and letting the slow zone hold the fight in place, not by defaulting to enemy-cast ult
•Lissandra is at her best when one caught target turns a tight river, jungle, or objective fight into frozen ground the enemy cannot walk through, and recent data supports that she can still do that job from modest early deficits better than many mids
